(PROPHETSTOWN STATE PARK) - The Annual Native Wildflower and Plant Sale is Saturday, May 13th, at Prophetstown State Park.
Dan Childs will be presenting a program at the park titled ""Wildflower Identification - It's a Family Matter" on Thursday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m.
Dan is a weed management specialist and author, and he will discuss plant identification, native pollinators, wildflowers, and invasive weeds.
Learn how to identify common wildflowers based on their family characteristics. All participants will be able to pick out a free wildflower grown at the Prophetstown greenhouse, and the FIRST 10 participants go home with an extra gift from Dan.
This program is free and open to the public after paying the park's gate fee.
