(INDIANAPOLIS) - An inmate accused of severely beating a Marion County sheriff’s deputy is facing felony charges.
Officials say Wytwaine Jackson pummeled the deputy last Friday as he was placing another inmate in Jackson's cell at the Arrestee Processing Center.
The deputy suffered a broken nose and tooth, multiple cuts to his face, as well as memory loss and a concussion.
Officials say his injuries may require surgery.
