(MADISON CO.) - Two adults were taken arrested after their 2-month-old daughter was found to have more than one dozen bone fractures.
The Madison County Sheriff says 22-year-old Ryan Smith and 19-year-old Emily McCune were arrested Sunday.
Investigators say Smith is responsible for the infant's injuries, which he allegedly caused when the baby wouldn't stop crying.
The infant was taken to Riley Children's Hospital where she is being treated.
Both adults face charges of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury and are being held at the Madison County Jail.
