(SHELBY CO.) - A Shelby County, woman accused of embezzling nearly $2 million dollars from her employer is pleading guilty.
Officials say 43-year-old Julie Ashman of Fairland took the money from a small business in southern Indiana, where she worked as a bookkeeper.
The business specializes in repairing and refurbishing X-ray medical equipment
Ashman is also accused of failing to pay more than $463,000 in taxes on the money she stole.
Ashman has agreed to plead guilty to wire fraud and tax evasion and faces up to 25-years in prison.
