(WABASH RIVER) - The body of a Vincennes man was recovered from the Wabash River near the Russellville Landing on Tuesday.
According to a press release from the Knox County Sheriff's Department, Sheriff Mike Morris officials recovered the body of 40-year-old Donald Rickard around 7:30 p.m.
Rickard had been reported missing and was last seen on Saturday swimming in the river.
Knox County Coroner Brian Hagen says preliminary autopsy results show Rickard died from accidental drowning. Hagen says toxicology tests are pending and the investigation continues.
The Knox County Sheriff's Department was assisted by Indiana Conservation Officers and Indiana State Police.
