(INDIANAPOLIS) - Three years ago, Travis Barnes, a service-disabled Marine Corps veteran and partner of Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery, started Operation Alpha to support veterans in need.
On Veteran's Day 2017, Hotel Tango and The Tinker House Events will host its third annual Operation Alpha at Tinker House, 1101 E. 16th St. The event will consist of a casual and relaxed evening of drinks, food, fun and entertainment, with the proceeds going to Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation.
Guests will enjoy an open bar with drinks from Hotel Tango, Sun King Brewery and Monarch Beverages, and a buffet with delicious food provided by City Barbeque, Black Plate Catering, Turf Catering and Jacquie's Cafe and Gourmet Catering.
There will also be live music from Bigfoot Yancey, a silent and live auction, a special cigar veranda and a one-of-a-kind military-inspired Grog-Bowl ceremony.
We encourage everyone to dress in a way that represents the military branch they would like to honor.
To financially support this event, provide auction or in-kind items or to purchase tickets, please contact Lauren Carpenter at lcarpenter@hvaf.org.
About HVAF: Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation (HVAF) helps homeless veterans return to self-sufficiency and engages at-risk veterans and their families to prevent them from becoming homeless by providing supportive housing, case management, food, hygiene and clothing, as well as other essential services.
