(CORYDON) - A southern Indiana woman is accused in the death of her baby, and prosecutors say it’s not the first time it’s happened.
35-year-old Tina Schmidt, of Corydon, is charged with reckless homicide and neglect of a dependent resulting in death.
The Harrison County prosecutor says Schmidt was high on methamphetamine when she placed her 10-month-old son in a bed with her teenage sons.
The child died from "unsafe sleeping conditions."
Four years ago, another child in Schmidt's care died of asphyxiation in the same bed under similar circumstances.
No charges were filed in that case.
