(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - The National Archives posted 3,539 documents related to President Kennedy’s assassination on its public website, leaving just 86 documents needing further research remaining undisclosed.
Altogether, 43,873 documents were released to comply with a 25-year deadline set by the 1992 President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act.
In addition to the 86 unreleased documents, the National Archives said it is conducting research to determine if redactions that appear in some of the already released documents can be lifted.
