(UNDATED) - Indiana is getting a new casino next year.
The Indiana Gaming Commission expects the Pokagon Band of the Pottawatomi Indians to open its long-expected casino in northern Indiana in the next few months.
Native American casinos aren't subject to state supervision, but they do have an operating compact with the state.
Commission executive director Sara Tait says at least to start, the casino will just have slot machines, not table games.
