(SULLIVAN CO.) - A Sullivan County judge sentenced a Shelburn man to the maximum sentence of 16-years in prison Friday for the death of his girlfriend in August of last year.
33-year-old Joshua Hall pleaded guilty earlier Friday to charges of aggravated battery and involuntary manslaughter in the death of 35-year-old Rustin Rehmel of Shelburn.
Hall admitted to hitting Rehmel during an argument at a Farmersburg bar.
Rehmel returned home where officials says she died from head injuries she received during the argument.
As part of a negotiated plea agreement, several other charges were dismissed.
