(UNDATED) - You may not see above freezing temperatures until next week.
The extreme cold that has had a good portion of the state under a wind chill warning and in the negatives for overnight lows, is firmly in place and will continue to give Indiana highs in the single digits for the northern two thirds of the state, for the rest of the week.
Indianapolis had a -12 reading this morning, while Lafayette reached -16. South Bend reached -5 and Ft. Wayne was at -10. Bloomington reached -7, while Evansville was at 1 above zero.
