(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana DNR Community and Urban Forestry Program is pleased to announce the 2018 Indiana Arbor Day Poster Contest (ADPC), an artistic competition open to public, private and home-schooled 5th graders across the state.
The poster contest strives to increase an appreciation and awareness of the important role that trees play in the environment, the economy, and in our quality of life.
Entries (one entry per classroom) from each school will be entered into the state contest to compete with other Indiana Schools.
The 2018 Theme: Trees Are Terrific in Every Shape and Size
The Top 12 posters will be selected by committee and included in the annual ADPC calendar. These posters will up for online voting the second week in April. State winners will be announced prior to Arbor Day, April 27, 2018

Deadline for submitting posters is March 23, 2018.
This year, there will be prizes for the top three state winners and their classroom, which is made possible due to the partnerships with Indiana Department of Natural Resources - Forestry, NIPSCO, Indiana Society of American Foresters, Davey Resource Group, Arbor Rangers, Arbor Metrics Solutions, and the Indiana Arborist Association.
