(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Department of Education today hosted its annual Awards for Excellence ceremony. The event celebrates accomplished, programs, and business partnerships in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) arena throughout the state.
"Thank you to those being recognized for their support and hard work surrounding Career and Technical Education," said Dr. Jennifer McCormick, Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction. "Participation in CTE provides students opportunities for future career endeavors."
Now in its 34th year, the Awards for Excellence ceremony recognizes those who have made a difference in the world of CTE. Those awarded are selected from among top CTE programs in the state, as judged by college administrators, education officials, and business and industry partners. This year, 53 CTE students, programs, and partnerships, both high school and college, were recognized at the event.
