(INDIANAPOLIS) - A new study says over half of Indiana communities saw population growth in 2017.
Indiana University researcher Matt Kinghorn says the slow rate of growth following the Great Recession could be finally speeding up.
Kinghorn says Indiana has been experiencing low birth rates that slow population growth.
However, he says his uptick in the state's population was caused by migration to the state.
The survey found that Boone County had the highest rate of growth with a 2.5 percent increase, followed by Hamilton County at 2.4 percent.
