(UNDATED) - More students are enrolling in foreign language classes at colleges and universities across Indiana.
Paula Krebs, Executive Director of the Modern Language Association of America, says that's an eight-percent increase as compared to the four year period between 2009 and 2013.
An investment in hiring faculty and having foreign language graduation requirements are some of the reasons why Indiana is one of four states excelling in this area.
The majority of foreign languages, with the exception of Japanese and Korean, all posted declining enrollments.
