(INDIANAPOLIS) - A new study says Indiana is among the states with the shortest life expectancy.
Rebecca Gluskin, a researcher from Measure of America, says life expectancy can range depending on several factors.
In Indiana, the average person lives until about 77 years old.
That puts the state in 41st place for life expectancy in U.S. states and territories.
Gluskin says that can depend on geographic location, with different counties in the state offering varied access to healthcare.
Life expectancy is also wide-ranging between different races, with white communities tending to live the longest.
Out of minority groups, Asian communities tend to live longer.
