(DANVILLE) - Summer in Hendricks County means plenty of golf tournaments, and one of the biggest and most popular is the annual Fairway to Haven outing, benefiting the families served by Sheltering Wings, which supports victims of domestic violence and promotes safe, healthy relationships.
This year will see the Fourth Annual Fairway to Haven outing on Thursday, June 28 at the West Chase Golf Course in Brownsburg. Once again, the event will be a four-person scramble featuring all sorts of fun and the chance to become this year's championship foursome. Golfers can choose between morning and afternoon flights, with the entry fee for each foursome just $400 (or $100 per person and a team will be created for you), while non-golfers are welcome to enjoy the lunch and program portion of the day, for which tickets are just $20.
"As a non-profit organization, our services and programs depend upon our fundraising efforts, and Fairway to Heaven is one of the largest," explained Sheltering Wings Executive Director Cassie Martin. "When people participate in our outing, they're helping us make it possible for victims to escape their situations and move on to safe, independent lives. Golfers from throughout the area turn out for this event, and we're always so happy to see them."
Sponsorships for the Fourth Annual Fairway to Haven are also available. The Platinum Sponsors for the event are Hendricks Regional Health and Summers Plumbing, Heating & Cooling.
