2018 Community Crossings Matching Grant Fund Call For Projects

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Department of Transportation has established dates for the 2018 Community Crossings call for projects.

It's INDOT's intention to start accepting applications starting August 6, 2018, and closing on September 28, 2018, at 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDT). Awards will be announced sometime in November 2018. INDOT encourages everyone to work with LTAP (Local Technical Assistance Program-Purdue University) on getting their asset management plans updated. The program requires that local public agencies completely update their asset management plans every 2 years. All asset management plans must be submitted to LTAP in order to qualify for the program.

There are some changes to the 2018 call for projects that are noted below:

For those projects awarded in this call, projects must have all required documentation submitted and be under contract by April 15, 2019.
Sidewalk work will only be permitted for a 1 1/2 inch mill and overlay treatment pavement rehabilitation project.
Sidewalk work will not be allowed when treatment is only for crack seal or patching.

INDOT will be issuing a call for projects two (2) times a year instead of one (1) as we move forward. Calls will be done 6 months apart and will allow for more flexibility. An LPA can only be awarded funds once per calendar year.
