(MORGAN COUNTY) - Weddle Brothers construction crews will begin applying a thin polymeric bridge deck overlay, weather permitting, atop the two center lanes of State Road 39 spanning White River late tonight, July 16. The Evansville contractor set barricades Friday afternoon, July 13.

This work is part of a 6-bridge $548,548 project contracted by the Indiana Department of Transportation for installing 3/8-inch polymeric epoxy overlays on structures in Brown, Johnson, Morgan and Monroe Counties. The overlays are intended to extend service life of the bridges.
The state's project also includes these bridges: S.R. 67 at Lambs Creek--located 1.5 miles southwest of S.R. 39 at Martinsville; S.R. 45 over Cascade Road--located one mile east of S.R. 37 at Bloomington; S.R. 135 over Gnaw Bone Creek--located just south of S.R. 46 in Brown County; the twin bridges over Bluff Creek--located just south of S.R. 144 in Johnson County.
