(UNDATED) - Disasters can strike at any time, yet less than 50 percent of households have developed an emergency plan and discussed it with their families.
After a record breaking 2017 hurricane season, and ahead of National Preparedness Month this September, FEMA and the Ad Council are once again raising awareness of emergency preparedness and encouraging Americans to plan ahead for disasters.
This year, FEMA and the Ad Council are partnering with Facebook to build off the highly successful Ready Campaign by creating social short-form videos that portray tangible steps people can take now to prepare for the unexpected. These videos help Americans be more self-reliant and resilient by focusing on financial preparedness, life saving skills, understanding disaster risk, and planning with your family.
