(LAFAYETTE) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a serious injury, Off-Road Vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday in the 9000 block south of US 231 in Tippecanoe County.
Initial investigation at the scene revealed a four-wheeler being operated by a juvenile was crashed into a creek on the property. The juvenile was submerged and pinned underneath the four-wheeler for a period of time before being removed from the water.
The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette before being airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
Agencies assisting on the scene included the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office, Randolph Township Volunteer Fire Department and Tippecanoe County EMS.
