(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Information Sharing and Analysis Center (IN-ISAC), a joint effort by state government agencies to mitigate cybersecurity challenges facing the State of Indiana, is hosting its second annual cybersecurity career fair on Thursday, October 4 at the Indiana Government Center.
More than 40 employers will be at the career fair, which drew in excess of 200 attendees at the inaugural event. Attendance is free for individuals and the event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Atrium/Conference Room A, B, & C of the Indiana Government Center South, 302 West Washington Street in Indianapolis. "At the inaugural cybersecurity job fair, we saw such an amazing turnout and companies were very impressed by the talent that attended. This year, we have even more companies coming because there is such a demand in the cybersecurity field," said Indiana's Chief Information Officer Dewand Neely.
Cybersecurity Ventures predicts that nationwide there will be 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity positions by 2021.

About the IN-ISAC: Formed in 2015, the Indiana Information Sharing and Analysis Center is a joint effort between the Indiana Office of Technology, Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Indiana State Police, Indiana National Guard, and the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center. The goal of the IN-ISAC is to reduce the overall cost of cybersecurity through the centralization of resources, leveraging of large-scale purchasing, improved prevention efforts and faster containment of threats with a focus on sharing threat information and collaboration strategies. IN-ISAC, through its Security Operations Center (SOC) in West Lafayette, provides real-time network monitoring, vulnerability identification, and threat warnings.
