(UNDATED) - November is National American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month.
A useful resource for Native American communities to use to both preserve their past and grow into the future is the Administration for Native Americans website.
The site states that "ANA supports Native American communities by providing financial assistance and capacity building, gathering and sharing data and advocating for improved policies within HHS and across the federal government."
The ANA website includes information on their three program areas: Social and economic development strategies for Native Americans, native languages and environmental regulatory enhancement. The site also has links to other Administration for Children and Families programs.
Another section on the ANA website focuses on grants that Native American communities can obtain for projects. These grants can lead to success stories, such as the ones featured on the site. These success stories are just a few examples of what Native American communities can do with the grants and showcases how the website is not only a valuable resource fo those looking to obtain grants for their projects, but for Native American communities as a whole.
