(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Eric J. Holcomb issued a Proclamation today declaring Nov. 15 America Recycles Day.
In partnership with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), the Proclamation recognizes the 21st America Recycles Day, which is a nationally-recognized day for businesses, government agencies and individuals to consider the importance of recycling and to commit to reducing waste, making recycling an everyday habit, and considering recycled products when making purchases.
More than half of Indiana's waste is not recycled. America Recycles Day, and every day is an opportunity for Hoosiers to help reduce that number. IDEM encourages residents of Indiana to continue finding new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. This America Recycles Day, Hoosiers are urged to make a difference for our environment and incorporate more recycling into daily routines.
