(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis Democrat is hopeful that state lawmakers will pass new hate crime legislation in the next session of the Indiana General Assembly.
State Representative Cherish Pryor says with Governor Holcomb backing the idea, other lawmakers will likely jump on board next year.
Pryor says Indiana needs to have a hate crime law, especially after what she says she's seen across the country over the past two years.
