(UNDATED) - The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recognized MDwise for its healthcare, service and member satisfaction. MDwise was rated 3.5 out of 5 among health insurance plans in the group’s annual Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2018-2019.
As an Indiana nonprofit health maintenance organization focused on helping uninsured Hoosiers and Hoosier families, MDwise prides itself on offering its members quality health care coverage and unrivaled customer service.
"The NCQA rating reflects our commitment to our members and providing access to quality health care," said Bruce Hayes, president, and CEO of MDwise. "We will continue to strive toward improving our members' health care access and experience."
NCQA's Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2018-2019 lists private, Medicare and Medicaid health insurance plans based on three types of quality measures: measures of clinical quality; measures of consumer satisfaction; and results from NCQA's review of a health plan's health quality processes.
NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of healthcare organizations and recognizes clinicians in key clinical areas. NCQA's HEDISĀ® is the most widely used performance measurement tool in health care. NCQA's Web site (www.ncqa.org) contains information to help consumers, employers and others make more informed health care choices.
