(WALTON) - Indiana State Police say two pedestrians have been killed in a hit-and-run crash in Cass County.
WTHR-TV reports state police say the pedestrians were struck late Tuesday as they walked along U.S. 35 just south of Walton. Both pedestrians, who have not been identified, have died of their injuries.
Police say the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrians left the scene of the crash.
Authorities say state police and Cass County sheriff's deputies are being hampered in their investigation by harsh weather conditions. The conditions are making it difficult to determine the make and model of the vehicle that struck the victims and which direction it was headed as it left the scene.
