Ruth K. “Ruthie” Embree of Springville passed away Sunday morning, December 13th at her residence at the age of 68.
Born in 1941 in Salem to parents, Hargus Brewer and Evelyn (Kay) Brewer, she had been married to William M. “Mike” Embree for 37 years.
Ruth was a homemaker, waitress at Hobby’s Inn and owner and operator of Ruthie’s Custom Ceramics. She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Teresa Hawk and her husband Richard, Cindy Parks and her husband Mark, Delores Tincher and Pam Chastain; 14 grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother, Hargus Brewer Jr.; four sisters, Margaret Burton, Mary Sue Sosha, Patricia Mullis and Moyne Lininger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Eugene Mathew; three sisters, Beulah Mae Robertson, Shirley Brazzell, Carol Jean Kelley and one brother, George Brewer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17th at 2:00PM at Fergusn – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, December 15th, from 1:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, December 16th and from 11:00AM until 2:00PM on Thursday, December 17th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
