Clayton Albert Coleman – Mitchell
Clayton Albert Coleman of Mitchell passed away Monday afternoon at Bloomington Hospital of Orange County at the age of 90. Born in 1920 in Montpelier to Edward and Sarah Coleman, he had been married to Frances Louise Reynolds since 1966, was retired from Mitchell Transport, was a member of Fishing Creek Chapel and attended the Nazarene Church in Montpelier. Clayton was also a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife; sons, Wayne Coleman and Jerry Coleman; stepdaughters, Connie Edmonson and Brenda Patton; brothers, Ed Coleman and Meredith Coleman; sisters, Evelyn Kinser, Doris Schache, Iris Powell, Linda McLain and Priscilla Sills; as well as several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 6th at Keplinger Funeral Home in Hartford City with burial to follow in Twin Hill Cemetery with military rites accorded graveside. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, August 4th and from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
