Donald K. New – Oolitic
Donald K. New of Oolitic passed away Tuesday evening, August 24th at Stonebridge Health Campus at the age of 77. Born in 1933 in Lawrence County to James and Fannie New, he had been married to June Fowler since 1954, was retired from Indiana Limestone Co., was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. He is survived by his wife; one son, Tim New and his wife Patty; one daughter, Lisa Sanders and her husband Jerry; one daughter-in-law, Lisa New; several grandchildren; two brothers, Bob New and Jim New; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jim New and one brother, Ted New. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, August 27th at the funeral home.
