Joseph Michael Flynn – Bedford
Joseph Michael Flynn of Bedford passed away Thursday morning, September 9th at Mitchell Manor at the age of 72. Born in 1938 in Lawrence County to Jess W. Flynn and Gladys Flynn, he had been married to Nancy K. Reed since 1980, was a cement finisher and had previously attended Bedford Baptist Temple and was a member of #741 Laborers Union. He is survived by his wife; four children, Deborah Jo Flynn, Ronald D. Flynn, Steven Brent Flynn and Bradley Flynn; one stepson, Anthony Ray Wright; three brothers, James Flynn, Hubert Flynn and Mack Flynn. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; one stepson, Randy Wright; as well as two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, September 11th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until 1:00PM on Saturday, September 11th at the funeral home.
Lloyd White – Heltonville
Lloyd White of Heltonville passed away on Wednesday, September 8th at Bloomington Hospital at the age of 101. Born in 1909 in Jackson County to Walter and Sarah White, he had been married to Irena Murphy and Eva Wright; was the owner of White’s Logging & Timber since 1931 and was of protestant faith. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Letta Purdy, Wilma Wright and Brenda McDonald; three sons, L. White, Dale White and Kenneth White; as well as several grandchildren and two sisters, Lorene Fox and Lola Norman. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Olin White. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, September 13th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Saturday, September 11th and from 12:00PM until 8:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
