Mae Tanksley – Bedford
Mae Tanksley of Bedford passed away Tuesday morning, September 21st at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 94. Born in 1916 in Lawrence County to John and Debbie Younger, she had been married to Dee Ragsdale since 1939, was a retired assembler with GM Powertrain, attended Shawswick Schools and was a member of Leatherwood Christian Church and UAW #440. She is survived by one son, David Ragsdale; one sister, Ruby Perry; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Howard Ragsdale; five brothers Roy, Ray, Glen, Everett and Paul Younger; as well as one sister, Josie Brinegar. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, September 28th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday at the funeral home.
