Jean B. Moore of Bedford
Jean B. Moore of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, February 22nd at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital at the age of 83. Born in 1927 in Lawrence County to Clifton and Prescilda Moore, he had been married to Lois Armstrong since 1950, was retired from Cummins Engine and NWSC Crane and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He is survived by three daughters, Joy Daugherty and her husband Robert, Jerri Smith and her husband David and Jamie Moore; one sister, Prescilda Bruce and one brother, Francis Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, George and Tommy Moore; as well as two sisters, Doris Fowler and Florence Goodin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, February 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery with military rites accorded graveside. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
