Oren Edward Wood – Bedford
Oren Edward Wood of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, March 8th at Garden Villa at the age of 94. Born in 1916 in Lawrence County to Will and Blanche Wood, he had been married to Mary Sheeks since 1938, was a farmer, drove a school bus for Tunnelton School, was a graduate of Shawswick High School in the class of 1934 and was a member of the White River Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Nedra Wood and Gaylynn Jean; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and two sisters, Mary Hayes and Wilma Wood. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 15th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in White River Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, March 14th at the funeral home.
