Wanda Rose Grigson – Orleans
Wanda Rose Grigson of Orleans passed away on Saturday, March 12th at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 76. Born in 1934 in Lawrence County to Otis and Frances Knight, she had been married to Paul Grigson; two sons, Edward Leatherman and Kenneth Leatherman; as well as one brother, Gerald Knight. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald Knight and Marvin Knight. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Monday, March 14th at the funeral home.
James Warren Ray – Columbus
James Warren Ray of Columbus, formerly of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, March 12th at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Impatient Facility in Columbus. Born in 1920 in Lawrence County to Daniel and Bertha Ray, he had been married to Katherine Pierce since 1942, was retired from A&H Truck Lines, was a member of Fayetteville Baptist Church, attended the First Baptist Church of Bedford and was also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. He is survived by one daughter, Teresa Norris and her husband Rondell; several grandchildren; one brother, Lewis Ray; as well as one sister, Wanda Conolty. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother, Robert Ray and four sisters, Lois Turpen, Geneva Speer, Marjorie Briscoe and Charlotte Ryan. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, March 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Louise May Rich – Crane
Louise May Rich of Crane passed away on Saturday, Arch 12th at her residence at the age of 78. Born in 1933 in Indianapolis to Alfred and Mamie Lawson, she is survived by one daughter, Sharon Craig and her husband Steve; one son, Edward Lawson; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers, Charles, Irvin, Alfred, Jack and Melvin Lawson; one twin brother, Louise and three sisters, Viola Dauch, Mary Lou Glowner and Barbara Walker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
