Patsy Lou Child – Bedford
Patsy Lou Child of Bedford passed away on Saturday, April 23rd at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital at the age of 74. Born in 1936 in Lawrence County to Maurice and Maude Lewis, she had been married to James Child since 1956, was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Norman and her husband Rick and Kim Child-Thomas; one son, Bradley Child and his wife Kay; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, April 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, April 27th at the funeral home.
Mary Speer Little – Bedford
Mary Speer Little of Bedford passed away on Sunday, April 24th at Garden Villa. Born in 1912 in Lawrence County to Homer and Mae Speer, she is survived by her daughter, Linda Moore; one son-in-law, Roger; as well as one brother, Duard Speer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Little; her parents; one brother, Roy Speer and sisters, Minnie Clephane and Frances Jackman. Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was also a former member of Dunn Auxiliary Pink Ladies. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, April 28th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, April 27th at the funeral home.
