Robert H. Clifton – Needmore
Robert H. Clifton of Needmore passed away on May 5th at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital at the age of 75. Born in 1935 in Bedford to Wesley and Lorene Clifton, he had been married to Bonnie Sue Gilstrap since 1956, worked as a draftsman for Curtis Automotive and Bedford Foundry and was retired from NWSC Crane after 32 Years. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Robert Clifton, Brian Clifton, Christopher Clifton and Kyle Clifton; three sisters, Arlene Potts, Mary Lou Melton and Karen Phipps; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John and one sister, Judy Ann. Funeral services will be held at 5:00PM on Wednesday at the Fairview Community Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 9:00PM on Tuesday at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
Vera Imogene Merry – Mitchell
Vera Imogene Merry of Mitchell passed away on Sunday, May 1st at White River Lodge at the age of 79. Born in 1932 in Lawrence County to Orland and Josephine Merry, she was a homemaker, was a graduate of Huron High School in the class of 1950 and was also a member of the Huron Church of God. She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Jean Porter; brothers, Walter Merry, Frances Merry and Donald Merry; sisters, Barbara Waltz, Shirley Smith, Doris Flath, Darlene Sullivan and Kathy Wineinger; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Norman Merry. A private graveside service will be at Huron Cemetery.
