Doyle F. Jones – Springville
Doyle F. Jones of Springville passed away on Tuesday, July 19th at his residence at the age of 79. Born in 1931 in East Oolitic to Harley and Bessie Jones, he had been married to Pat Roberts since 1954, was a technician for AT&T and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War and was also a member of Fayetteville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Pamela Younger and her husband Joey; one son, David Jones and Paige; as well as several grandchildren and one brother, Raymond Jones and his wife Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Reginald, Warren and Wayne Jones and his twin, Dale Jones; as well as two sisters, Ilene and Wyrtis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, July 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Military rites will be accorded by members of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, July 21st and from 9:00AM until the hour of service on Friday, July 22nd at the funeral home.
