Delpha L. (Howe) May –
Delpha L. (Howe) May, 97 of Bloomington, died Monday evening at Bloomington Hospital. She was born September 10, 1914 in Monroe County to Rolle and Sally (Clark) Howe.
She worked for Home Laundry in Bloomington for 40 years and attended Blackwell Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Alice and her husband Marion Todd of Heltonville and Martha and her husband Bob Colon of Bloomington; one sister; Goldie Gillispie of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin May, three sons: Zaon, Dwight and Raymond Howe and nine siblings: Mildred Sears, Roy Howe, Helen Vaught, Hattie Alsup, Lebert Howe, Verna Brinegar, Sylvia Smith, Ruby Cox and Charles Howe.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Heltonville. Burial will follow in Gilgal Cemetery with Pastor Darren Bowlen officiating.
