Carol Louise (Sprow) Jones – Bedford
Carol Louise (Sprow) Jones, 54, of Bedford, formerly of Defiance, Ohio, went to be one of God’s angels, surrounded by her family and friends, on Monday, October 10, 2011.
Born January 8, 1957 in Defiance, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jack and Justine (Schackow) Sprow. She was a die cast assembler at General Motors with 29.1 years of service. She was a member of the Defiance Christian Church in Defiance, Ohio. Member of UAW Local 440 and past member of UAW Local 211. she was a current and past UAW officer serving on the education committee, woman’s committee and served on the executive board as trustee, CAP, she was a member of Women on Wheels (WOW). She was an avid antique collector. she enjoyed flowers, gardening, music and singing. She raised English bulldogs and was involved in the Bulliangels bulldog rescue. She worked with the humane society and was loved by many.
Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Green of Bedford; two grandsons, Alec Green and Bryce Banks, both of Mitchell; her English bulldogs, Louie and Ollie; her special friend Tom May, of Bloomington; her mother, Justine Sprow, of Defiance, Ohio; two sisters, Cathy Richard and husband, Lenny, of Lima Ohio, Mary Hutchinson and husband, Ralph, of Sonoma, California; three brothers, Jeff Sprow and wife, Anna, of Stryker, Ohio, Steve Sprow and wife, Mindy, of Wauseon, Ohio, Dan Sprow and wife, Charlene, of Ayersville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, 19th at the Defiance Christian Church in Defiance, Ohio. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 15 th at the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford, Indiana and freom 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18th at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio, from 11 a.m. until the hours of service on Wednesday, October 19th at the Defiance Christian Church in Defiance, Ohio.
