Phyllis Jo Hanners – Bedford
Phyllis Jo Hanners, 53, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 12:02 a.m. at St. Vincent Hospital, in Indianapolis.
Born July 9, 1958 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Clifford Lee Thompson Jr. and Phyllis (Lundy) Thompson.
She married Tim Hanners and he survives. She was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith and attended Bedford North Lawrence High School.
Surviving include her husband Tim Hanners, of Bedford; mother, Phyllis Thompson, of Bedford; three daughters, Carrie Hardesty, of Bedford, Katie Lewis, of Bedford, Kirstie Shain, of Bardstown, Ky.; one son, Aaron Kindred of Seymour; one stepson, Brian Hanners; four sisters, Rena Jackson, Lyn McPike, LeeAnn Flynn and Penny Hutchens, all of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her father, C. Lee Thompson Jr.; brother, Gary Brown; stepson, Timothy Jason Hanners; grandson, Travin Shain.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Paul Eugene Reed – Bedford
Paul Eugene Reed, 68, of Bedford, died on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 5:26 p.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 12, 1942, in Ft. Ritner, he was the son of Cecil H. Reed and Katherine (Carter) Reed.
He married Mary Spaulding on May 21, 1966, and she survives.
He was a welder and was recently employed with E&M Tool, until becoming disabled. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mitchell.
Surviving include two daughters, Tracy and her husband Gary Brown, of Bedford, Amy and her husband Brad Kennedy, of Hoxie, KS.; two sons, Steven and his wife Yvonne Reed, of Springville, Adam and his wife Amy Reed, of Bedford; 17 grandchildren, Rodney Smith, of Springville, Amanda and her husband Corey Keith, of Springville, Stephanie Evans, of Bloomington, Holly Reed, of Bedford, Casey Brown, of Bedford, Cody Brown, of Bedford, Elizabeth Reed, of Bedford, Jessica Reed, of Bedford, McKenzie Reed, of Bedford, Evan Neff of Seymour, Michael Reed, of Bedford, Anna Reed, of Bedford, Mathew Reed, of Bedford, Isaac Reed, of Bedford, Mercedes Kennedy, Preston Kennedy and Brookelyn Kennedy, all of Hoxie, KS.; 6 great-grandchildren, Joe Smith, of Oolitic, Kelsei Keith, of Springville, Logan Smith, of Bedford, Andrew Keith, of Springville, Reise VanDeventer, of Bloomington, Adalyn East, of Bedford; four sisters, Helen and her husband Ronnie Smith, of Medora; Sue Rubel, of Bloomington, Mary and her husband Bob Williamson, of Anderson, Carolyn and her husband Sam Arp, of Mitchell; one brother, Bob and his wife Sandy Reed, of Andover, KS; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William and Bud Reed; son Jason H. Reed; two grandchildren, Dianna Reed and Alora Reed.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Dixon Chapel Cemetery.
