Virginia R. Cox – Williams
Virginia R. Cox, 93, of Williams, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Monday October 31, 2011, at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born May 25, 1918, in Williams, she was the daughter of Merle and Bertha (Wagner) Smith. She married Henry Cox on May 1, 1938 and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of the Williams Extension Homemakers Club.
Survivors include a son, Don Cox of Williams; two daughters, Sharon Michel and husband Gene, and Charlotte Michel and husband Jack, all of North Manchester; five grandchildren, Gwen, Barb, Greg, Jeff and Jason; ten great grandchildren, Cody, Cole, Troy, Jordan, Elizabeth, Katie, Bailey, Skyler, Jaiden and Zach.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 11 am., Thursday, November 3rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Steven Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Williams Cemetery Association in Virginia’s memory.
