Marla L. (Arnold) Bowman – Ft. Myers, Florida
Marla L. (Arnold) Bowman, 61, of Ft. Myers, FL., and formerly of Bedford, passed away at 10 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2011.
She was born on September 23, 1950 in Lawrenceville, IL.., to Jospeh and Minnie Arnold. She graduated from Shoals High School. She continued her education by taking classes at Indiana University.
She was a loving wife and mother and volunteered and worked at Fayetteville Elementary School. She enjoyed working with children and her special gift of caring and giving to others touched almost everyone with which she came in contact.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Bowman; a son, Timothy and his wife nd Sarah Bowman, of Bloomington; two sisters, Kathleen Cramer ad husband Marshall and Rosalie Rucker, of Clever, MO; three brothers, Richard Arnold and wife Mary, of Gerald, Mo, Douglas Arnold and wife Charlotte, of Wichita Falls, TX., Rudy Arnold and wife Hedy, of Minocqua, WI.; a close niece Crystal Cummings, of Ft. Myers, FL., along with several other neices and nephews and many dear friends in both Ft. Myers and Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Minnie Arnold, three sisters, Dorothy Ball, Loretta Griggs and Rebecca Blevins; and one brother, David Arnold.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Charlotte Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, Nov. 4 at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Michael Dale Baker – Bedford
Michael Dale Baker, 59, of Bedford, passed away at 11:28 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2011, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born January 24, 1952 in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late Dale Baker and Lorene (Etchison) Mitchell. He married Cathy Spires on july 8, 1995 and she survives.
He retired from Otis Elevator as a welder. He was a member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmans Club, Eagles #654 adn of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy of Bedford; his mother and step-father, Lorene and Robert Mitchell, of Oolitic; one step-daughter April Imhausen; three grandchildren; one brother, Pat Baker of Texas; two sisters Anthonette (Toni) Hedge, of Mitchell adn Barbara Jane Hill, of Bedford; two step-brothers, Gary Mitchell, of Avoca, Terry Mitchell, of Oolitic; two step-sisters, Diana Edwards, of Oolitic, Brenda Lambrecht, of Bedford; two aunts, Marcia Tolbert, of Mitchell adn Lucille Lynch, of Williams; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 3rd in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Richard Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd from noon until the hour of service on Thursday at Day & Carter Mortuary.
