Ruth Margaret Horan – Bedford
Ruth Margaret Horan, 89, passed away at 6 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born December 23, 1922 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Harry and Florence (Rheil) Euler. She married Francis W. Horan on May 12, 1948 in Rushville. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1999.
She was a homemaker and graduate of Indiana Business College. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Altar Society. Ruth was a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Store. She will be remembered for her generous spirit to people of all walks of life. She was a faithful servant to her church.
Survivors include four sons, Mike Horan, Waukesha WI, Tim Horan and wife Susan, of Indianapolis, Kevin Horan and wife Dana, of New Castle and Chris Horan, New Castle. Two daughters, Patia Tolle and husband Samuel, Homerville,GA., Michele Bohling and husband Richard, Bedford; 14 grandchildren, Miranda and Maggie Horan, Waukesha, WI; Bruce Horan and wife Kisha, New Castle, David Horan, Camby, Evan and Arron Lyall and wife Danielle, of New Castle, Adam and Jordan Tolle, Homerville, GA., John, Margaret “Meg” William and Katherine Bohling, all of Bedford; and 11 great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter-in-law, Beverly Horan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Millhousen, Ind.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be considered to the St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund.
