Gwendolyn Turner – Bedford
Gwen Turner, 82, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Vincent DunN Hospital.
Born March 19, 1929 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Ora and Elizabeth (Brewer) Turner. She was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church and the ABC Quilting Club.
Survivors include her many nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ray, George, Fred and Kenny Turner; and five sisters, Beulah Mabbit, Betty Boyd, Esther Sherrow, Coletia Rollens and Marjorie Hunter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
