Imolene Joyce Slade – Kenton, Ohio
Imolene Joyce Slade, 87, of Kenton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 22, 1925 in Paynesville.
She is survived by seven daughters including Ronda Taflinger of Mitchell.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Mannasmith-Schnurrenberger Funeral Home, West Mansfield. Burial will be in North Greenfield Cemetery.
Memorials: Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
Austin “Gene” Hubbard – Bedford
Austin “Gene” Hubbard, 82, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at 7:40 a.m. at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born July 19, 1929, he was the son of Austin O. Hubbard and Hilda (Foster) Hubbard. He married Iris Jackson on July 22, 1950 and she survives.
He was employed as a sales man at Jenkins’ and Hoosier Parts in Bedford. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a member of the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Iris, of Bedford; one son, Gregory and wife Cheryl Hubbard, of Norman; one daughter Pamela and husband Tom Embree; three grandchildren, Erica and husband Kevin Stinger, of Michigan, Natalie and husband Paul Coffman, of Clarksville, Ryan Embree and fiancé, Brandi Lemons, of Indianapolis; two great grandchildren, Leo and Charlotte Stinger, of Michigan; three step grandchildren, Carra and husband Trent Harbstreit, of Bedford; Sandra and husband Kye Louden, of Bedford, Melissa Flynn, of Bedford; eight step great grandchildren; two sisters Katie Alello, of California, Betty Jackson, of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bill Hubbard.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ferguson Lee Funeral Home.

Carl Douglas Pridemore Sr. – Mitchell
Carl Douglas Pridemore, Sr., 59, of Mitchell, passed away at 10:49 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, at IU Health Bloomington.
Born October 19, 1952, in Mitchell, he was the son of John and Catherine (Grissom)
Pridemore. He married Vickie Kay Pridemore January 4, 1974. He had been employed by the City of Mitchell Street Department. He was a member of the Indiana National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Pridemore, of Mitchell; children, Sheila K. Carter, of Mitchell, Bobbie J. Briner, of Mitchell; Carl D. Pridemore, Jr., of Mitchell; mother, Catherine Pridemore, of Mitchell; several grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings, Buddy Pridemore, of Mitchell, Gene Pridemore, of English, Brian Pridemore, of Orleans, Paul Pridemore, of Mitchell, Danny Joe Pridemore, of Mitchell, Cathy Pridemore, of Oolitic, Becky Dotts, of Mitchell, Anita Terry, of Edinburgh,
He was preceded in death by his father, John Pridemore.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Mitchell Cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
