Ruth Jolley Moore – Mitchell
Ruth Jolley Moore, 95, of Mitchell, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford.
Born October 31, 1916, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Ralph and Murl (Miller) Jolley. She married Thad Moore November 19, 1940, and he preceded her in death August 7, 2008. She was a homemaker and a graduate of Mitchell High School in 1935.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Thad and wife Jackie Moore, of Bedford; daughter, Maryanne Williams, of Fishers; grandchildren, Nick Williams, of Fishers, Jason Moore, of Bedford, Erin Blosser, of Noblesville; 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Agatha Chastain.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Roger Davis officiating. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Roy “Tunney” Allen – Bedford
Roy “Tunney” Allen, 86, of Bedford, passed away at 12:27 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation following a month long illness.
Born December 10, 1925 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Doyle and Ella (Pritchett) LuAllen. He married Maxine Phipps and she preceded him in death on April 15, 2000. He was a disabled U.S. Navy veteran and attended the Hillcrest Christian Church.
Survivors include his children, Beth Snead and husband Harold, of Bedford, Steve Allen, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Cynthia Palmer, of Indianapolis and Kerry Allen and wife Mona, of Hillsboro, Ohio; brothers, Richard and Herbert Allen; grandchildren, Marcus Allen, Lucas Allen, Bradley Palmer, Wade Allen and Chad Allen; great grandchildren, Wolfe, Judah, Willa, Sean, Malachi and Silas Allen; a special family friend, Doug Bachman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, Harold “Jack” Allen, Ralph LuAllen and Armel Allen; a sister, Dorothy Faubion.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 19th at the Hillcrest Christian Church with Brother Kerry Allen, Marcus and Lucas Wade and Chad Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Bedford where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post 33 American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from noon until the hour of service at the Hillcrest Christian Church.

Bill Noah Raines – Bedford
Bill Noah Raines, 69, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, April 15 2012 at his home.
Born August 25, 1942, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Henry and Reba (Baker) Raines. He married Melody Pattern on July 14, 1962 and she preceded him in death on July 4, 2011. He was employed at General Motors for 44 years and was the Pastor at the House of Prayer Church for 28 years. He enjoyed signing in the bluegrass band, Leatherwood Valley.
Survivors include three sons, Tim Raines and wife Melinda, Steve Raines and wife, Kim and Billy Raines, all of Bedford; two daughters, Denis Stephens and husband Morris and Sharon King all of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Brandon Hartman, Jessica Potter and husband, Mike, Brandi Raines, Whitney Raines, Emilee Raines, Madeleine King and Lilliana King; two great grandchildren, Dakota and Micah Potter; two brothers, Charles Raines and wife Sue, Harold Raines and wife Joni; six sisters, Martha Bolton, Lorena New and husband Daniel, Geraldine Dunn and husband Jack, Betty McGill, Elizabeth Craig and Loretta Sue Murphy, all of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, Donald Raines and a sister Margaret Raines.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Max Abel and John Wisley officiating. Burial will follow in the House of Pray Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17th and from 12p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
