Clyde E. Rosenbaum – Bedford
Cyde Earl “Rosie” Rosenbaum, 89, of Bedford, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford, where he had been in failing health for several years.
Born November 24, 1923 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ralph and Lois (Baugh) Rosenbaum. He married Mary Kathleen Cecil on July 14, 1946 at Tunnelton Methodist Church where they were members. She preceded him in death.
Clyde retried from GM Powertrain where he worked in the Piston Department for 38 years. He was a member of the UAW Local 440.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy and wife Arvetta Rosenbaum and Anthony “Tony” Rosenbaum, all of Bedford; three grandchildren, Tawnya Sons, of Bedford, Elizabeth Brace, of Harker Heights, Texas and Robert Rosenbaum, of Columbus, GA; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rebecca Hall, of Bedford and Patty Holtsclaw, of Plainfield and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ferguson Lee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tunnelton Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy M. Summers- Bedford
Dorothy M. Summers, 86, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday , July 15, 2012.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Jack Summers and the daughter of the late Ray and Leona Smith and the sister of the late Clarence Smith. Dorothy grew up on a farm outside of Mitchell and was always proud of her rural upbringing. She enjoyed gardening, spiritual music and simple things, but found her greatest enjoyment in her family. She attended Faith Mission Church and was a proficient seamstress and an accomplished cook. She was dedicated and devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that were foremost among her many endearing achievements. In addition to her loving and nurturing ways, she was a vital and supportive role model, who blended wit, wisdom, and insight with a calm and comforting manner that would always inspire and console. Dorothy will be infinitely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dorothy was the devoted and loving mother of three daughters.
In the past several years, Dorothy devoted her untiring attention and affection to the care of her eldest daughter, the late Derenda Baker, who had a long battle with disabling effects of an injury incurred as a young woman. Dorothy has now followed Derenda to heaven.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Teresa Torphy, of Bedford and Lydia and her husband Michael Jarboe, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Dorothy is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Twilla and husband Kevin Pugh, Troy and wife Cathy Baker, Treva and husband Mike App, Cindy and husband Patrick Nycz, Debbie and husband Joel Housel, Brad Trophy, Joseph and wife Sarah Jorboe and Jillian Jarboe and her great grandchildren, Cody , Thomas, Kade, Josh, Elliott, Jack, Tyler, Charlie, Emma and Brendan.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012.
