Mary Frances Williamson – Bedford
Mary Frances Williamson, 95, of Bedford, and formerly of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012.
She was born on September 11, 1916 in Kenton County, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry W. Bird and Grace E. (Stephens). She married Edgar Williamson in 1955 and he preceded her in death along with her son Jerry Baker.
For many years she was a beautician and in 1981 she re3tired from South Western Publishing Company in Cincinnati. She was a charter member of Lakeside Christian Church in Lakeside Park, Kentucky and currently attended First Christian Church in Bedford. She was a member of Daughters of America – Kenton Council, Past State Counselor; Order of the America – Past Royal Matron of Queen Ester Court 21; Order of the Eastern Star – Rosebud Chapter 39; Covington Shrine 10 and Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy and husband Donald Mains, of Bedford; grandchildren, Donald Mains Jr., of Brownsburg, Melinda Mains, of Indianapolis, Christopher and wife Kirsten Mains, of Avon, Scott Baker, of Cincinnati and Troy and wife Cathy Baker, of Milford, Ohio; seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Monday, July 30th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Robert Dailey officiating. Graveside rites will be on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, Kentucky, with the Rev. John Russell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to First Christian Church to benefit Bedford Christian Camp.
Frederick Earl Mitchell – Bedford
Frederick Earl Mitchell, 85, of Bedford, passed away Friday morning, July 17, 2012.
Born January 8, 1927, west of Bedford, he was the son of John and Leona (Hicks) Mitchell. He first married Mary Jean George on July 5, 1947 and she preceded him in death in December 1981. They had three children, Rick and wife Judy, of Mitchell, Pamela and husband Dan Deckard, both of Bedford; and stillborn son Jeffrey Lyle.
He later married Marian A (Plake) George on November 8, 1983 and her children, Jackie and husband Mike Kuster and Dale Earl George, both of Bedford, joined his family.
There are five grandchildren, Derek and wife Lauralee, of Mitchell, Melanie and husband Jeff Johnson, Matthew Deckard, Jason Kuster and Brian and wife Erin Kuster.
He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Fred was the last of six brothers, Glen, John, Wayne, Keith and Richard and one sister Eileen Dillon.
Fred was a graduate of Fayetteville High School. He was a member of UAW Local 440 and a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from G.M. Central Foundry in 1982. He then served many mission projects in Mexico after moving to Brownville, Texas, where he was an elder at Brownsville Central Church. He has also served as elder of New Union Christian Church. He loved God’s Kingdom on this Earth and is now at home in God’s Heavenly Kingdom.
Fred’s farewell ceremony will be on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Brother Mike French officiating with burial in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Premier Hospice in Seymour.

Jerry Rollins – Bedford
Jerry Rollins, 72, of Bedford, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Friday, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born December 4, 1939 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Homer and Cletia (Turner) Rollins. He married Pam Franklin on June 30, 1958 and she survives. Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Needmore High School and was a member of Avoca Baptist Church. He was a heavy equipment operator at Stone City construction and the City of Bedford.
Survivors include his wife, Pam, of Bedford; one daughter, Gaytha and husband Brett Arnold, of Muncie; three grandchildren, Brody, Libby and Alex Arnold, all of Muncie; two great grandchildren, Dallas and Blakeleigh; one brother, Denny and wife Jayne Rollins, of Bloomington; two sisters, Bonnie Poindexter, of Odon, Penny and husband Darrell Kindred, of Connersville; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Becky Francis, of Davie, Florida; a sister-in-law, Nancy Carpenter, of Bedford and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Charles “Bud” Rollins.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 30th, in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jim McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
