Kelly David Kern – Mitchell
Kelly David Kern, 47, of Mitchell, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 7 p.m. at his home.
Born October 22, 1964 in Bedford, he was the son of Labon Junior Kern and Mary (Taylor) Kern. He married Beverly A. Moore on September 14, 2009 in Lawrence County and she survives. He was employed at Shelby Trucking and Kern Farms and trucks contracted to Buchta Trucking. He attended Mitchell High School and BNL Vocational School. He was a member of the Bedford Boat Club, VFW of Mitchell and Truck Pulling Association.
Survivors include his wife Beverly A. Kern, of Mitchell; mother Mary Kern, of Mitchell; two brothers, Joe and wife Melissa Kern of Mitchell, Mike and wife Kim Kern, of Bedford; four sisters, Melinda Mosier and husband Rick, of Mitchell, Cindy Bowers and companion Ronnie Terry, of Mitchell, Debbie J. and husband Sam Miller, of Mitchell, Amanda D. and husband James Gross, of Mt. Vernon; two stepsons, Brandon Fields and Jason Fields, both of Bedford; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Fields, of Mitchell, Megan Ernst, of Bedford; one grandson, Mike Fields, of Bedford; two granddaughters, Treshia Fields and Graceland Fields, both of Bedford; nieces and nephews, Andy Miller, Jason Miller, Jessica French, Lori Pierce, Darin Mosier, David Mosier, Ethan Kern, Cierra Gross, Michael Kern Jr., Matthew Kern, Canden Kern, Caleb Kern, Brandon Wilson, Brianna Wilson, Nick Pridemore, Nate Pridemore, Heather Canada, Michael French, Austin French, Dalton Strunk, Adam and Sarah Miller, Bayleigh and Jakob Miller.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 10, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Tom East officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles E. Watson “Eugene” – East Oolitic
Charles E. Watson “Eugene”, 80, of East Oolitic, passed away on August 5, 2012 at 2:46 a.m. at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born July 23, 1932 in Lawrnce County he was the son of Louis and Mabel (Gassaway) Watson. He was employed at G.B. Hodley and Maple Hill Quarry as a drill runner. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He married Bonnie Oliver on August 9, 1957 and she survives. Eugene loved to fish and listen to Bluegrass and country music. He was a great person and always friendly. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Bonnier Oliver, of East Oolitic; one daughter, Alfredia Thomas (Craig) of Bedford; one son Anthoney Troy, of East Oolitic; three grandchildren, McKenzie Thomas and Daylan Thomas, of Bedford and Cory Thomas, of Bedford; one brother, Russell Watson and wife Brenda, of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, John, Louis Jr., Robert and Danny Watson; one sister Glenda Watson Mason.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Martha Jean (Lynn) Bex – Williams
Martha Jean (Lynn) Bex, 76, of Williams, passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 1, 1935 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Menlo Lynn and Juanita (Flinn) Greene. She married William Donald Bex on January 8, 1960 and he survives. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Williams.
Survivors include her husband, William (Bill) of Williams; children, Pamela Dianne Rayhill, of Bloomington and Donald Brent Bex and wife Tina, of Williams; step-children, Gaylon J. Hatfield and husband Estel, of Bedford and Debbie S. Sweres, of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Brady L. Mann and wife Julie, of Fairbank, IA, Jarrett D. Rayhill, of Bloomington, William R “Rob” Bex and Tanner J.J. Bex, both of Williams; several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Charles E. Lynn an Ruthie E. Stailey and husband Lowell, all of Bedford, Marie Grauel and husband, Stuart, of Indianapolis, Betty J. Trueblood and husband Jon, of Westerville, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Harry Bradford Baldwin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
